Cosmelan

Cosmelan is a paramedical depigmentation treatment designed to reduce skin discolouration initiated by inflammation in the skin, hormonal changes, ageing and sun damage. The types of pigmentation Cosmelan can reduce are conditions such as melasma, hyperpigmentation, freckles, sun spots and age spots. This exceptional mask reduces the action of cells that produce pigmentation and works by deep exfoliation of the epidermis. Cosmelan works by a drip-feeding approach by leaving the mask on for at least 8-12hrs (according to your skin type).

Pre-treatment Care

Prepped on Skin Booster Serum for at least 4 weeks
Must obtain prior skin-strengthening treatment/s by treating clinician
Cease use of Skin Booster Serum 1 day prior to treatment
Avoid the application of other products that include Vitamin A/exfoliation/AHA or BHA based products on the skin for at least 3-7 days prior to treatment
Avoid prolonged sun exposure, skin treatments, waxing, shaving, or anti-wrinkle injections for 2 weeks prior to treatment
Avoid dermal fillers or PDO threads for 4 weeks prior to treatment

Post-treatment Care

Cease use of Skin Booster Serum while using Cosmelan 2
Use Cosmelan home-care products only for the duration of 6 months (unwanted side effects can occur and treatment outcome can be affected otherwise)
Avoid prolonged sun exposure, waxing or shaving for 2 weeks post-treatment
Skin treatments are not to be performed for 6 months unless they are within the Cosmelan aftercare treatment plan (must discuss with treating clinician)
Avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers/spa and saunas (excessive heat) for 2 weeks
Use broad-spectrum SPF daily, especially on the treated area to maintain results and to avoid side effects such as PIH/burns/skin damage
