IPL Therapy

• Avoid taking photosensitising medication for 1-2 weeks prior if possible (these can include antibiotics, antidepressants, St John’s Wort, long term use of ibuprofen/antihistamines)
• It is recommended to use a pigment inhibiting serum as prescribed by your treating clinician for at least 2-4 weeks before obtaining treatment
• Avoid the application of Vitamin A’s/exfoliants/AHA or BHA based products on the skin for at least 3-7 days prior to treatment
• Avoid prolonged sun exposure, skin treatments, waxing, shaving, or anti-wrinkle injections for 2 weeks prior to treatment
• Avoid dermal fillers or PDO threads for 4 weeks prior to treatment

• Avoid the application of Vitamin A/Vitamin C/exfoliants/AHA or BHA based products on the skin for at least 3-7 days post-treatment
• Avoid prolonged sun exposure, skin treatments, waxing or shaving for at least 2 weeks post-treatment
• Continue using pigment inhibiting serum as prescribed by your treating clinician
• Avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers/spa and saunas (excessive heat) for 24 hours
• Use broad-spectrum SPF daily, especially on the treated area to maintain results and to avoid side effects such as PIH/burns/skin damage
